Talkeetna is between Denali NP and Anchorage.  It is a small tourist town with a lot of character.  It has very nice views of Denali from the area and there are several companies that offer flightseeing tours.  We went with Talkeetna Air Taxi and it was an unbelievable trip.  We also went on a rafting trip down the Talkeetna river but there was no wildlife and, therefore, a rather forgettable ride.
