We sailed into Disenchantment Bay on a bright sunny day.  The weather was so special that the ship's crew were out taking photos.  We boarded tour boat that took us within 1/2 mile of the glacier face.  There are actually 3 glaciers feeding this bay, Turner, Valerie and Hubbard.  Along the way we saw 2 moose in front of Turner glacier.  This was such an unusual sight, that the tour boat people became very excited.  They had never seen moose in this area before.

The glacier ice is so dense that it absorbs red and yellow light waves, only reflecting the blue that we see.
