I took an early morning zodiac excursion around the Inian Islands with the specific purpose of seeing a Puffin.  I was fortunate to see a single Puffin and get a decent photo.  We also saw sea otters, sea lions, eagles, lots of birds and whales. 

As it turns out, Humpback Whales can be identified by the marking and shape of their tail.  There is a website (www.happywhale.com) that identifies and tracks whales.  During my morning at Inian Islands I photographed 4 unique tails that could be identified.  So cool!
